Burundi, also called the "Land of a Thousand Hills," is a tiny country in Africa surrounded by Tanzania, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Sugar and Coffee are the two largest exports in Burundi. Most of the coffee in Burundi is grown nearby the mountains edge with an average elevation of over 6,000 feet. Due to varying terrain the local coffee farmers have mastered the art of sustainable mountain agriculture. They understand and respect the delicate balance of their environment and they only grow the best Arabica coffee.
